5 Pot Shops get Green Light in Vancouver

Out of 176 applications, only 14 got the go-ahead to apply for a development permit. 5 of the initial 14 'approved' applicants look to have the green light to move forward. John Greer, Vancouver’s Assistant Director for Development Services — told the Board of Variance the five had either been approved or were in the final administrative process.

Two of those five were identified: the Herb Co. and MPN Health Society, both on Kingsway. The successful applicants will now need to obtain a business license from the City of Vancouver.

After a six month grace period, the city can move to shut down unregulated shops in April. 62 rejected pot shops are appealing to the Board of Variance.
