Driver runs over motorcycle in Florida road-rage incident

The incident occurred Monday evening in Lutz, Florida. The video shows a car veering into another lane, knocking down the two victims and their motorcycle. “I thought the guy was trying to kill us, obviously,” said Joe Calderazzo, the biker who was involved in the crash.

The car’s back wheel is airborne as the vehicle travels over Calderazzo’s motorcycle. Then the car drives away.
Witness Abe Garcia said he pulled out his cell phone after seeing the driver of a Pontiac "going crazy" and forcing three motorcyclists off the road. When the bikers caught up to the car at the intersection of U.S. 41 and County Line Road, they began "exchanging back and forth". 31-year-old Robert Paul Vance was taken into custody in connection with the road-rage incident. Vance was charged with leaving the scene of a crash with injuries and being a habitual traffic offender.

A charge of aggravated battery was amended to two counts of attempted murder. Witnesses at the scene identified Vance.
Navy Vet Calderazzo is fortunate to have only suffered a broken leg.

Calderazzo's passenger suffered some bad road rash on her leg, a sprained ankle, and a pinched nerve.
