Police release photos of Kurt Cobain suicide

Kurt Cobain, the lead singer of Nirvana, was found dead at his home in Seattle on April 8, 1994.

The Seattle Police Department report states: "Kurt Cobain was found with a shotgun across his body, had a visible head wound and there was a suicide note discovered nearby." Prior to his death, Cobain had checked out of drug rehab and had been reported as suicidal by his wife Courtney Love.
During Nirvana's 1991 European tour he became suicidal and stated that taking heroin was "my choice"; saying, "This [heroin] is the only thing that's saving me from blowing my head off right now." The weapon used is a Browning Auto-5, 20 gauge shotgun.
