Toronto Police issue Alert after string of Fentanyl Deaths

Toronto police have issued a public safety alert after four deaths likely caused by fentanyl overdose in the past three days in downtown Toronto. Police said there have been four fatalities and 20 overdose incidents since Thursday. The most recent incident was on Saturday when a woman was found dead. 3 more non-fatal overdoses were reported on Sunday. The numbers are small compared to what has been recorded in Vancouver, where the city's police service says 25 people died from drug overdoses in June alone.

Officials consider the spate of drug overdoses in Toronto a wake-up call.
