111 dead in B.C. from overdose in June

The BC Coroners Service has released statistics showing 111 people died in June.

In 2016, the number of deaths in which fentanyl was detected was about 60 per cent. For the first six months of this year, that rose to 78 per cent. Cocaine remains the highest risk drug. No deaths were reported from supervised consumption sites.
