Jury selection in murder trial of ex-Mob boss Francis 'Cadillac Frank' Salemme

Jury selection for the trial of former Mob boss Francis 'Cadillac Frank' Salemme is set to begin this week. He is charged in the death of a man whose remains were found in Providence two years ago.

The victim, Steven DiSarro, was a South Boston nightclub owner who hadn't been seen since 1993. What happened to him was a mystery until his body was found buried behind a mill building at 715 Branch Ave. in Providence.
DiSarro was going to be a witness in a federal investigation against Salemme, but his late son Frank Jr. killed DiSarro as Cadillac Frank reportedly watched. Salemme, who led the New England family of La Cosa Nostra in the early 1990s, is a co-defendant in the murder case along with a man named Paul Weadick.
